2020 Co-Directors

Jenny is a Master's Student at IHEID in Development Studies, with an interest in the intersection between conflict and the environment. Jenny received her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, in international studies and environmental studies. In her free time, she enjoys cooking for friends, curling up with a good book and visiting museums.

Jennifer Torner

Matt is a Masters Student in International Affairs at IHEID. He is mostly interested in grassroots approaches to international security and climate change. Matt graduated from the University of Warwick in the UK with a bachelor in Politics and International Studies. He loves going on hikes, biking and binging international series in his spare time!

Matthieu Guillier

2020 Communications Team

Ernest is pursuing the Masters in Development Studies programme at the Graduate Institute, Geneva. His background in Anthropology from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana has enhanced his strong interpersonal and intercultural skills. He has a nuanced interest in combining his research skills and interest in online communication through web management systems. He is 'friendly-competitive' and the guy you should speak to if you want to try a superb recipe or travel. He speaks English, Fante, Twi, Ga and a bit of french.

Ernest Aboagye

Simran is a Master’s student in International Affairs at IHEID, who is keen on exploring the evolving debate on trade and labour standards. She is keen on exploring the evolving debate on trade deals, labour conditions and the gap between talk and action. In her free time, you’ll find Simran creating watercolour art or dancing to the beats of her new favourite song! She is excited to be a part of the team to design the curriculum and manage communications.

Simran Singh

2020 Partnerships Team

After a bachelor in the UK and working for a year in Lebanon, Alexia moved to Geneva to study Development Studies at IHEID where she developed her interests for international security and peace mediation. Being particularly fond of scuba diving she really misses the ocean in Geneva, but she compensates with reading, cooking and travels whenever possible. You can generally hear her coming since her laugh is loud and infectious, and she is thrilled to be part of the exciting C4SI project to organize the curriculum and partnerships!

Alexia Durand

Deepashree is an experienced professional, pursuing Master of Development Studies with a focus on the trilemma of environment, resources and sustainability. An introvert and a homebody, who loves to explore new places and culture. As Partnership Coordinator for C4SI 2020, Deepashree aims to engage, build and sustain a healthy communication channel between the mentors and participants for productive learning. She is fluent in English, Hindi and Kannada

Samhita is doing her Master's in Development Studies at IHEID. When she is not struggling to refrain from exceeding word limit on assignments with two cups of coffee down, she spends her time watching movies, reading books, or ideating social impact projects. She's the go-to person for any advice on keeping things organised and how to make bad puns.

Samhita Ayaluri

2020 Finance Team

Safa is a Masters student of International Affairs at the Graduate Institute Geneva. She has an avid interest in the subjects of international political economy and economic policymaking. When she isn’t reading up on the global economy, she is probably sketching an architectural marvel with music on. The rest of her time is spent on dreaming about food and exotic travel destinations.
